Gulf Dynamic Switchgear Company (GDS), a wholly owned subsidiary of M'sharie LLC, the venture capital arm of Dubai Investments, which successfully expanded in 2006 has commenced new expansion program directed at increasing company production capacity by a further 200 per cent in 2007. The company a regional pioneer in design and manufacturing of low voltage switchgear panels and electrical equipment, is investing in new production lines and larger premises in Sharjah with a view to expanding into the domestic and international markets.

GDS, which recently celebrated 25 years of operation in the UAE, has invested in new European machinery and additional production facilities which are designed for maximum flexibility and adaptability to suit regional and international stipulations. The new amenities also feature first-class equipment and modern testing facilities for insulation, dielectric, primary injection, functional and routine tests.

Commenting on the expansion August Schmid, General Manager, GDS said, "During the past 25 years, GDS has developed a reputation as market leader by delivering first-class products to the region, exceeding client's expectations and maintaining rigorous quality and safety standards. Founded in 1981, GDS designs and manufactures a comprehensive range of specialised electrical products including main distribution boards, motor control centers, street lighting feed pillars, control panels, consumer distribution boards, power factor correction units, generator controls and synchronizing panels. GDS products are used throughout the Middle East in governmental departments and the private sector, with clients that include Dubai municipality, Dubai Courts building, Bur Juman Centre, Dubai Creek Golf Course, National Bank of Abu Dhabi and the British Bank.
