Faisal Jassim takes Tour & Andersson to Qatar.

Tour & Andersson, the world leader in hydronic balancing valves, has appointed Faisal Jassim Trading Company (FJTCo) as its sole distributor in Qatar. FJTCo is already Tour & Andersson’s distributor in the United Arab Emirates and this agreement extends and reinforces the two organisations’ relationship.

The partnership between Tour & Andersson and FJTCo ensures that mechanical and engineering contractors and their clients in the UAE benefit from a robust supply chain approach. Now HVAC contractors and their customers in Qatar will benefit from the same integrated solution.

FJTCo will sell Tour & Andersson’s products to customers in Qatar as part of its highly technical mechanical and engineering offering to the building services sector. Taking a fully integrated approach to indoor climate control, FJTCo’s expanded product and service offering includes total hydronic balancing so customers can benefit from a single source of supply for all their indoor climate control requirements.Hydronic balancing is a key growth area in the development of new buildings in the Middle East.

Bassam Al-Awar, General Manager for Tour & Andersson Middle East & Africa, based in Dubai, explains: “Sustainable building is a pivotal driver for the Middle East construction industry. Heating and cooling systems use a high proportion of the energy our buildings consume and given the climate in this part of the world it is important for organisations, building owners and their tenants to use systems that will deliver indoor climate needs with optimum energy efficiency. This is in order to keep both the running costs and CO2 emissions of buildings down.

“With this in mind, Total Hydronic Balancing is an important concept, and a key growth area for the Qatar market in particular. As more commercial buildings develop there, the need for efficient HVAC systems increases.”

Tour & Andersson originally selected FJTCo to broaden its existing customer base in Dubai. Now FJTCo’s strong infrastructure, large warehousing facilities, professional sales team and solid financial background is able to meet Tour & Andersson’s needs in Qatar too.
