Fairytale launch attracts major interest at the Emirates Airline International Festival of Literature

Fairytale Childrens Furniture were delighted to be invited to participate in the Emirates Airline International Festival of Literature, held at the Intercontinental Hotel at Dubai Festival City between 5th and 9th March 2013 and received a fabulous response.
Steve Parker explained “the festival organisers share our belief in the importance of getting children reading books at an early age and making reading, learning and playtime fun. In the Time Out Kids Zone, in addition to ‘fairytale telling sessions’ by Zandra Johnson and other local storytellers, we encouraged as many kids and their parents to test our full size and toy size chairs and to read the books. Response from them and school and nursery professionals was fantastic and some interior designers have also expressed a wish to specify them for current and future projects”.
Zandra Johnson, the author, designer and ‘fairytale teller in chief’ of Fairytale Furniture Limited added “ It was very encouraging to see how children were attracted to both the books furniture and even with all the distractions of the Festival, wanted to keep reading and playing in our rocking chairs. Zawadi, our elephant chair also proved immensely popular too, with often 2 kids playing in it at the same time”
The ‘Fairytale team’ also held a competition with the chance to win a chair and books and the winners will be announced very soon.
