First-class operation and maintenance contract - service you can depend on...

End users of Cummins’ engines and products will have the benefit of longer product life and durability, when the Cummins recommended operation and maintenance guidelines are followed. There is also the additional advantage of lower overall engine or product life cycle costs.

Poorly maintained Cummins engines can result in reduced engine life and durability, which can lead to catastrophic engine failures that are expensive to repair. In worst case scenarios, a new engine would have to be purchased, because the failed engine cannot be economically repaired. In a number of cases, Cummins engines are used in mission critical situations, so maintenance is vital.

Proactive maintenance is important for all products. However, when a Cummins engine or product is used in a critical function, and it is required to start and operate first time, every time, without fail – it is essential to know that a comprehensive and proactive maintenance program ensures the vital pieces of capital equipment function as they were envisaged to do when purchased.

Preventative maintenance is recommended by Cummins. It is always better to be proactive rather than reactive when it comes to maintaining engines or Cummins’ products. Customers should follow their engine model operation and maintenance manual for guidance on preventative maintenance and recommended maintenance intervals that should be followed. Preventative maintenance is critical to reduce the instances of expensive unscheduled repairs which could also lead to catastrophic engine and alternator failures. Cummins offers a wide range of preventative maintenance services that can be tailored to the customer’s requirements, including but not limited to, all Cummins engine models fitted in any type of OEM equipment, generator sets and CGT alternators.

Cummins maintenance programs are available on all product ranges; engines, power generation and CGT alternators. Cummins provides innovative solutions to our customers so they get to enjoy the benefits of these programs, which will also provide them access to highly skilled engineers specifically trained to work on Cummins products. Customers are also safe in the knowledge that genuine Cummins parts and filtration products are being used. These maintenance programs include scheduled operation maintenance and repair contracts, fixed rate repairs, and on-site support, to mention a few.

In order to guarantee improved efficiency and deliver added value to customers’ businesses, Cummins all-encompassing service agreements include:

  • Scheduled and unscheduled maintenance
  • Remote access systems to efficiently manage operations
  • Specialized technical support
  • A product improvement program
  • On-going customer operation training
  • A customer service phone line

With non-Cummins manufacturers, Customers risk using non-genuine parts and products instead of genuine ones. Customers should only use genuine Cummins products, procured through the local Cummins channels, and have them fitted by fully trained Cummins engineers. By doing so, they can ensure their Cummins’ engines stay in peak working condition, and can be reassured that genuine Cummins’ aftermarket products are fitted correctly.
