Flooded with light: European Headquarters with Outdoor Visibility

A location with an impressive appearance
The new location in Grabenstätt, Germany is a modern office environment and world of work that supports a dynamic and open form of corporate leadership. The three-storey complex has an open position that is convenient for traffic, directly adjacent to the A8 motorway, and achieves a prestigious form of outdoor visibility with its comprehensive lighting concept among other factors.

Both longitudinal buildings and the cross complex unite all company departments under a single roof. In addition to around 250 office workstations, the new European headquarters also houses the world's largest outlet store for Fossil. A great deal of transparency as well as generous ingress of daylight achieve an oasis of well-being for both employees and customers, and warm wood tones and natural stone also ensure a pleasant ambience.

An inspiring work environment
The upper storey offers inspiring surroundings for work, with offices flooded with light as open office layouts. A combination of downlights and mobile floorstanding luminaires ensure ergonomic work light and flexible design of workplaces. Lunis R downlights with CAT 2 louvres create pleasant and low glare general lighting.

These are supplemented with direct/indirect distribution Futurel 5MS floorstanding luminaires arranged at the single and twin workstations. The Eldacon microprismatic structure of the luminaire covers ensures glare-free light control on computer screens, and the indirect light component brightens ceilings to achieve a friendly spatial impression.

Quadrature 2 luminaires, recipients of the iF Product Design Award, show their effect in the meeting rooms. Suspended via wire or rails, the extremely flat luminaires appear to float in the room. The Eldacon® technology developed by Siteco guarantees completely glare-free light via highly precise microprismatic structures. These prevent a direct viewing of the lamps, reduce reflected glare below the luminaire and thus ensure maximum flexibility when it comes to arranging workstations in the rooms.

It's all about communication
The core of the building is the auditorium, internally named a "market place". It supports communication and teamwork and offers space for employee gatherings. Lunis E downlights create an inviting ambience here with atmospheric light. With their unobtrusive appearance they blend outstandingly into the architecture and guide the view of observers mainly into the room and display areas. Where homogeneous vertical illumination of wall surfaces is needed, for example to accentuate display cabinets or pictures, Lunis SL wallwashers are additionally used.

A complete form of integration
A great deal of attention was paid to the design of the outdoor areas. Several ponds, water areas and much greenage ensure that the areal blends well into the Chiemsee regional landscape. With the onset of twilight, Siteco lighting solutions support the sensitive outdoor design.

City Light bollards help with orientation, and ground recessed luminaires have been installed for emphasising trees and terraces. Luminaires featuring secondary reflector technology for safe lighting are used both for the access roads and parking lots. The Dingolfing secondary projector, with single or twin bracket according to installation location, achieve pleasant, glare-free light via Mirrortec technology. The clear, concise form means the luminaire harmonises ideally both with the architecture and the surrounding landscape.
