“With Axor Bouroullec, we are redefining individualization in the bathroom!“ With this statement, the head of the Axor brand Philippe Grohe opened the presentation of the new Axor Bouroullec bathroom collection.

The collection was developed by Axor, the designer brand of Hansgrohe AG and the celebrated French designer duo Ronan and Erwan Bouroullec – two designers known for their constant pursuit of the perfect balance between an object’s form and function, and between its interaction with the user and its surroundings.

After its world premiere in mid June in Pars this joint project was presented on Wednesday, July 14, 2010 during a major event held in Istanbul that gathered numerous guests from Turkey and the Middle East.

German-French design conquers the Middle East.

The central theme of the new bathroom collection is "Feel Free to Compose!". As in a game, the fittings and shelves can be combined in many and various ways. “We are no longer restricted to positioning the fitting in a central location on the basin’s rear rim,” explained Philippe Grohe and the designer Erwan Bouroullec during their presentation. “With the Axor Bouroullec collection, the mixers can be freely arranged anywhere in the wash basin area: on one of the integrated shelves that feature throughout the collection as a key design element, in front of or on the side of the wash table, or even on the wall.”

The result is a bathroom collection that offers a wealth of individual options to create designs and solutions to allow everyone to embody their personal ideal in terms of functionality, aesthetics and personal balance. Axor Bouroullec is the outcome of cooperative effort between Axor and Ronan and Erwan Bouroullec extending over a period of more than six years. “This is another reason why we are particularly pleased to celebrate the introduction of Axor Bouroullec, and to share our cooperative project now with everyone,” said Philippe Grohe and the designer at closing of the celebration.

The technically refined products in the new Axor Bouroullec bathroom collection are manufactured at the Axor plant in Schiltach/Germany, the headquarter of Hansgrohe AG.
