Geared to be unleashed in the region, the new line-up of heavy-duty trucks from Hyundai Motor Company, locally represented by Juma Al Majid Est., are stronger, more efficient, and ready to conquer the streets of the UAE.

Since their release in Korea in 1998, Hyundai’s heavy duty-trucks have been the best-selling trucks in their home country, and are now sold in more than 100 nations, receiving high reviews for their quality and reliability.

“Responding to market demand, HMC offers greater durability and superior performance with its newly reinforced heavy-duty trucks,” Vice Chairman H.Y. Choi, in charge of commercial vehicles, said during the launch ceremony. “We designed and engineered the trucks to meet our customers’ requirements and reinforce our competitiveness. We have no doubt that the locally adapted new products will maximize customers’ satisfaction with their economical operation. We will employ aggressive marketing to expand our sales.”

Juma Al Majid Est. has recognized the need for a new strategic approach to our unique market requirements. Our aim is to simply become the number one commercial vehicle solution provider of choice.” Said Khalid Issa, Chief Operating officer of Juma Al Majid Group.

The new models include the HD 370S(9㎥) mixer, the HD 370S(18㎥) dump truck and the HD 450L and HD 600L tractor, all of which have been locally adapted following extensive research and local test drives.

Each model boasts a longer wheel base, increasing by as much as 450mm and 1,060mm, that not only allows for added comfort but enhances mounting-parts convenience, as a direct reflection of the needs of local customers. Hyundai has reinforced the axle and suspension of HD 370S Mixer(9㎥) and HD 370S Dump(18㎥), to improve durability and offer greater loading capacity. All models are powered by Hyundai’s proprietary D6CA41 engine, which means higher fuel efficiency as well as 410 horsepower and 188 kg/m of torque.

“As the world faces new and more complex challenges Hyundai has been the front runner in meeting those demands and requirements. Hyundai has a history of making heavy-duty trucks that customers have come to rely on. Some of the new improvements include increased durability, economic efficiency and performance, which further extend Hyundai’s vision for being a global leader in commercial vehicles. Whether its emission regulations, fuel efficient engines, cost effective operations, or driver comfort, Hyundai has been leading today’s technologies.” Added Issa.

The new line-up will be available in various showrooms around the UAE, and costumers will also be able to experience the trucks first hand through a series of test drives and exhibits that will be carried out throughout the region.
