Clarion Events Middle East and its partner, Comexposium France, is proud to announce that the second edition of INTERMAT Middle East will be held under the patronage of His Highness Sheikh Hamdan Bin Mubarak Al Nahyan, UAE Federal Minister of Public Works.
Maryvonne Lanoë, INTERMAT Exhibition Director, said: “We are grateful to have the support of His Highness Sheikh Hamdan Bin Mubarak Al Nahyan. The UAE has established its presence as the centre for trade and development in the region. INTERMAT Middle East 2012 will aim to support the region’s significant investments over the coming years in the construction and infrastructure sectors.”
A survey conducted by INTERMAT Middle East and their top 150 buyers revealed:
- 85 per cent prefer an international event hosted in Abu Dhabi
- 65 per cent do not attend international exhibitions
- 77 per cent are interested in viewing new products, specifically new technology
- 67 per cent would like to meet new suppliers in the region.
The survey results state emphatically that the strategic location of INTERMAT Middle East is ideal for organizations and individuals in the construction and infrastructure industries to network and establish profitable relationships for building the future of the UAE, GCC and Middle East, North Africa and Asian Sub continent.
INTERMAT Middle East 2011 was inaugurated by His Excellency Ahmed Mohammed Shareef, Undersecretary of the Department of Municipal Affairs in Abu Dhabi, UAE. The Department continues its support for INTERMAT Middle East as its strategic foundation and knowledge partner.
His Excellency Ahmed Mohammed Shareef, said: “INTERMAT Middle East represents a unique knowledge platform for the major infrastructure projects across the UAE and wider Middle East. INTERMAT 2012 will be convened at a time when the UAE and the GCC countries in general are witnessing large scale infrastructure and economic development projects in all sectors.”
INTERMAT Middle East 2012 will take place at the Abu Dhabi National Exhibition Centre (ADNEC) from 8 – 10 October 2012, with over 250 exhibitors showcasing the latest construction and infrastructure equipment to a region with an estimated US$ 4 trillion in active projects.

More than 7,000 international buyers are expected to attend the exhibition, which will have an outdoor area showcasing products as well as 20,000sq.m. gross of exhibition space. In addition, INTERMAT Middle East will also feature a Construction and Infrastructure Summit, Contractors Workshops and a Hosted Buyers Program.
