Remarkable Middle East sales drive regional expansion

Despite the global economic slowdown, products ‘made by Hansgrohe’ have successfully remained on track in the Middle East, with the company seeing record revenues through increased product sales and a long list of high profile project wins in the region.

Sales for the Hansgrohe Group were boosted by remarkable sales in the Middle East and other emerging markets such as Africa, Eastern Europe, and Latin America, against a backdrop of a difficult global trading environment in 2012. Revenues increased by 5.4% year on year to more than €805 million (2011: €764 million) for the company, which is renowned for its innovative edge.

112 years since its foundation, the Hansgrohe success story remains on track with the company increasing sales of both mixers and showers and expanding its presence across the region.

The renowned luxury bathroom fitting specialist opened its latest showroom in Bahrain, targeting further developments within Middle Eastern markets. The newly opened showroom is a proud addition to further representative showrooms in 37 countries across the globe, on all continents.

Hansgrohe unveiled the exciting new Axor Starck Organic collection at the inauguration of Bahrain distributor, Al Abbas and Al Haji Galleries' newly renovated showroom on Segaiya Road.

Dirk Schilmoeller, Sales Director Middle East, Hansgrohe says, “We are proud of the fact that 112 years after we were first established, together with our partners and customers in the Middle East we were able to continue the series of successful results of recent years. The systematic internationalisation of markets made a key contribution to the fact that we have more than doubled our sales revenues in the past ten years. Contributing to that is double-digit growth in the Middle East.”

An excellent order book that was significantly better in 2012 that the previous year, further improved the company’s competitive position.

Our outlook for the remaining 2013 is sound, and we are already receiving much interest in the arrival of Axor Starck Organic, so we are very excited about the year ahead.“

The bathroom and sanitation specialist celebrates its 112th anniversary this year and continues to remain focussed as much on innovation and quality today, as it did over 100 years ago. Hansgrohe hopes to emulate its success from last year in 2013 with the launch of its latest Axor designer product range - Axor Starck Organic. Designed by the renowned Philippe Stark, the much anticipated Axor Starck Organic range, with its minimalist design and pioneering new spray that cuts water consumption, which is currently arriving in the Middle East.
