Schüco International KG provides its worldwide network of partners, architects, specifiers and investors with a range of services to complement Schüco products from planning through to realisation.

Schüco supports BIM with 3D building components on BIMobject

Building Information Modeling (BIM) is the future-proof working method for the planning and realisation of construction projects as well as the operation of buildings. BIM supports the universal use of digital data and efficiently links everyone involved in the construction. For the fast-growing group of BIM users amongst architects, specifiers and facility managers, Schüco now offers 3D building components from its metal fabrication systems on the international platform BIMobject® at http://schueco.bimobject.com/

BIM objects are parametric 3D building components for use in digital building models that contain comprehensive technical and organisational information in addition to geometric data.

With its international, multi-disciplinary Internet platform BIMobject: http://bimobject.com/Product?Manufacturer=schueco, BIMobject represents a cooperation partner which provides extensive BIM planning data that can be downloaded directly for use in different CAD programs, including Autodesk Revit and Graphisoft Archicad.

According to Dr Dirk Meyerhoff, Managing Director of Schüco Service GmbH and responsible for Metal Fabrication Services at Schüco International KG, “the cooperation with BIMobject means that together we can optimise the information base of architects and specifiers for the Schüco products and support the work of all stakeholders more effectively. This additional information facilitates considered and prompt decision-making throughout the entire process of planning and construction right through to the operation of the building.”

Johannes Reischböck, Managing Director of BIMobject Deutschland GmbH is certain that “the BIM models of the Schüco products will ensure that architects and specifiers who obtain planning data from BIMobject will receive a considerable increase in added value in future."
