Hansgrohe SE has announced the launch of RainBrain, a personal digital control centre for the shower. The mini-computer controls shower operation, jet types and temperature, so you are free to completely relax, providing a unique shower experience.

Much like a tablet, this innovative system is equipped with five individual functions, of which any three can be used simultaneously, and it is controlled intuitively and conveniently with the touch of a button.

The digital world enters the bathroom.

“Design, innovation and quality are inseparable at Hansgrohe SE. This concept has been at the core of the company philosophy for decades and Rainbrain is no exception. We are very proud that we have been able to create such an innovative product”, commented Dirk Schilmoeller, Sales & Marketing Manager Middle East, Hansgrohe SE.

“RainBrain is the latest product to arrive in the Middle East. It is an attractive solution not only for technology enthusiasts, but also for customers who want to enjoy their dream shower without the need for complex and complicated control systems. It goes far beyond the basics, offering several exclusive shower functions all activated by the touch of a button”.

Preset your individual preferences with the help of the ‘shower butler’. Through this you can alternate between hot and cold water; set the temperature; choose the spray mode; and manage the hand shower and side showers via the interval function to create your perfect shower experience. In addition, the electronic anti-scald system avoids accidents by protecting children and adults from being exposed to high temperatures.

Other options available via the device include water cascades, control of the light sources integrated into the shower, as well as music selection via a Bluetooth® compatible smartphone or media player, all of which are easily accessible via the menu function.

At the touch of a finger, the RainBrain screen enables customers to set their preferred settings by navigating through the easily identifiable icons along the top or side of the screen with a central knob controlling temperature, in addition to a convenient on/off push pause feature.

The home screen, created by the renowned design company Phoenix Design, provides a visual display and status of the overall system. Temperatures and time are illuminated and easy to read, large-scale pictograms featuring animation and color-coding indicate the activity of the individual showerheads, and transitions between the various screens produce clear sequences of commands for the user.

RainBrain was awarded the “iF Communication Award” in the category “Interface Design” in 2010. A total of 1,687 submissions vied for the coveted prize for the best communication design that year.
