Thriving HVACR Industry Mobilises Behind $732 Billion Saudi Construction Market

Only in Saudi Arabia can you find a district cooling industry projected to grow at a mind boggling 27% annually. In fact, the HVACR industry in the Kingdom, as a whole, is forecast to grow 14% on average every single year till 2020.

The HVACR sector is a vital component of Saudi Arabia’s $732 billion construction project spend planned or underway in the Kingdom. The country is building some of the boldest and most iconic mega projects in the world – economic, healthcare, financial cities, metros – and an extensive range of commercial and residential centres, industrial and housing projects and mixed-use communities.

In response to this rapid growth, M.I.C.E Arabia, organisers of The Big 5 Saudi and co-organiser dmg events, will launch HVACR Expo Saudi in Jeddah in January 2016. As the first show of its kind in the region, it provides exhibitors and visitors with a focused platform and gives access to the industry’s latest innovative developments, cutting-edge technologies and product showcases.
A 7.4% growth in the insulation market is expected thanks to regulations imposed on energy consumption in 23 cities, enforcing new technologies that cut emissions by up to 40%.

“Legislation is driving the growth of eco-friendly HVACR infrastructure and solutions that support the flourishing Saudi construction market and the HVACR Expo will be an ideal platform to learn about and showcase those opportunities,” said Project Manager, Firas Abou Ltaif.

In 2014, the district cooling industry in Saudi Arabia grew at 22.12%, and is anticipated to grow further at 27% through 2020, spelling an era of more noise control, minimal CO² emissions and low electricity consumption. There’s as well considerable rise in the share of refrigeration in HVACR market, particularly energy efficient eco-friendly HCFC-free refrigerants.

HVACR Expo Saudi 2016, on 11 – 13 January 2016 at the Jeddah Centre for Forum & Events, will be a unique networking hub where exhibitors represent the region’s leading companies. The lineup of international brands includes Carrier, SKM Air-conditioning , Rheem, LG Shaker, Danfoss, Advanced World, Doby Verrloc, Al Mukarram, UL, Tamkeen, Samsung, Refrigeration House, Port A Cool, Safid, EBM Papst ME, DuctSox, and many more.

Aside from displaying the latest technologies and industry advancements, HVACR Expo Saudi will also feature free certified workshops led by ‘Eurovent’, the European Committee of Air Handling and Refrigeration. Topics include ‘How water cooled chillers and evaporative cooling technologies can significantly reduce energy demands in hot climate zones while saving water’, ‘How intelligent ventilation technologies contribute to a more healthy indoor air while reducing energy demands’ and ‘How to save time managing your projects by accelerating HVACR product supplies’ and more.

HVACR Expo Saudi’s Platinum Sponsor is Carrier, the world leader in heating, air-conditioning and refrigeration solutions, and is supported by Eurovent as its Official European Partner and TechSri as Knowledge Partner.

The Expo is free to attend, providing access to industry knowledge with over 15 hours of free to attend certified workshops, training and live demonstrations.
