The Transguard Group, an Emirates Group company, has been awarded a raft of FM contracts worth millions of dollars, to provide security guards, housekeepers, kitchen staff and pool attendants for a variety of companies throughout the UAE.

The more notable contract wins include providing almost 60 staff, for a range of services across the housekeeping, food and beverage and recreational areas at the Yas Hotel, Yas Island in Abu Dhabi. Also at The Palace, The Old Town in Downtown Dubai, Transguard has started to provide stewarding staff to various restaurants in the hotel.

FM security has recently been awarded two new contracts. Fujairah Asia Power Company (FAPCO) to supply security guards for their $2.8 billion Fujairah F2 Plant which is a greenfield power generation and seawater desalination plant, near Khor Fakkan. Transguard has also won a contract from Emaar to provide security guards for the Dubai Mall leisure and entertainment areas.

“One of our more interesting wins was a contract to undertake the pre-opening deep clean of At:mosphere, the highest restaurant in the world in Burj Khalifa, which is located on Level 122,” said Mike Kitchen, Head of FM Services at Transguard.

“These contracts were awarded through the normal tendering process and are further evidence of the impressive contract portfolio within Transguard’s FM Services Division. Our operational teams within both sectors are now busy preparing mobilisation and deployment plans and we look forward to building on these successes over the coming months,” added Kitchen.

The contract wins also underscore Transguard’s market position as a leading security consultancy. Last year Transguard signed a contract with the Dubai Airport Freezone to expand and upgrade its existing security systems, including its access control systems, perimeter intruder detection, automated vehicle identification and visitor management systems.

“Many organisations in the UAE are finding out just how cost effective outsourcing can be. Contracts are flexible and clients know they are hiring a team of skilled staff trained to the highest standards, without any of the time consuming human resource issues such as visas, accommodation and transport,” added Kitchen.

That includes another Transguard contract win to provide onsite security at the Expo Centre Sharjah, which has given the centre’s marketing team an unexpected boost

“Due to Transguard’s professionalism, we are now receiving timely and accurate data from our visitor registration teams. The number of registered visitors has also increased across all of our shows and we are now more confident that our databases are targeting the right market more effectively,” said Neil Hickman, Sales and Marketing Director, Expo Centre Sharjah.
