Window Manufacturer VELFAC launch RIBO series as BIM objects

VELFAC are publishing their latest BIM objects RIBO and RIBO Classic both in Revit and ArchiCAD.
VELFAC is a subsidiary of VKR Holding, a worldwide group of companies who supply materials which bring daylight, fresh air and a better environment into people’s everyday life. VELFAC has been designing and manufacturing windows for over 60 years and currently produces 13,000 units per week. VELFAC supplies a wide range of high-quality Scandinavian windows that are made from virtually knot-free pine.
The wood is sustainably sourced from Northern-European forests and is of the finest-quality – as the trees are left to mature slowly. All surfaces are treated with 100 per cent water-based acrylic paint/lacquer and the edges and joints are smooth to the touch.
The BIM objects that are developed for VELFAC are equipped with parametrics (variations), fabrication constraints and real life functionality. They can show a detail level that enables sections in both 3D and 2D in as low as 1:5 scale. The 48 VELFAC product families represent several thousands of actual product variations, that can be specified and manufactured by VELFAC.
From today on - architects, designers and other BIM professionals can download the 200i, 200 Helo® and 500 product ranges for free as BIM objects to be used in Autodesk Revit and Graphisoft ArchiCAD.
