This is the seventh edition of the successful show, which last year attracted around 265 exhibitors from over 20 countries. In 2005 Hardware & Tools solely attracted in excess of 4500 visitors from around the region, the Sub Continent, India and Russia.

Returning in 2006 is Dewalt, one of the fastest growing manufacturers of power tools in the world widely regarded, as the number one brand of professional tools in North America will be exhibiting their vast range of power tools. Dewalt have recently launched three new hammers within the 7Kg range to cover all users' needs: D25700K, D25701K and D25840K dedicated demolition hammer. All 3 machines have a revolutionary system to reduce vibration and a floating handle, which provides suspension between the handle and the main unit, allowing users to use the tools safely over a significantly longer period of time without compromising performance.

Many national pavilions will be participating this year; the German pavilion is very strong with around 20 companies already confirmed, which includes Schuermann & Hilleke, manufacturers of nails, screws and work pieces. Lokoma Gmbh who specialise in Workbenches, shelving and closet drawers. Kemper Kontakt, who for over 50 years have specialised in grinding equipment, will be showcasing their latest tools and surface finishes. Italy's presence is also strong this year, Trafilplastica, who since the 60's have manufactured flexible tubing for water, sheathing for electrical wiring, crystal profiles and tubing. GT Line has been producing tool cases for over 35 years they are the Euro open leader in their field, at hardwares and Tools they will be showcasing their latest line. Other strong Pavilions include the UAE and China.

The growth in population and tourism within the Middle East over the past ten years has been unbelievable. Dubai itself has almost doubled the size of its population. The exceptional building boom within the UAE, vast projects such as Dubai's Palm Islands, The World and Snow Dome, Doha's Pearl and Bahrain's Durat Resort signify the growing demand within the area. Development to this extent has never been witnessed before. International and regional companies realize the opportunities that are available to them within the Gulf through this accelerated growth.
