Al-Futtaim Engineering opens its first TOTO showroom in Abu Dhabi.

Al-Futtaim Engineering, a multi-disciplinary engineering organisation and a member of the Al-Futtaim Group, today announced the opening of its state-of-the-art TOTO showroom in Abu Dhabi to cater to the growing demand for high-end sanitary wares and fittings. TOTO, a US$ 4.6 billion turnover company with 16,000 employees worldwide is the number one manufacturer in Japan of sanitary wares and fittings.
The Abu Dhabi showroom comes in the wake of a very positive response to Al-Futtaim Engineering's totally redesigned TOTO showroom in Dubai in September of last year. The showroom in Dubai has seen a four-fold increase in sales since its redesign to cater to retail clients. Designed by Mr. Manabu Yoshihara of ZYCC Corporation, Japan, the futuristic showroom in the heart of Abu Dhabi showcases the latest technologies in sanitary ware and fittings from the TOTO product line-up.
'This new showroom has been part of our blue-print and is a natural extension of our expansion plans in the UAE. The showroom gives our Abu Dhabi clientele the chance to get a close up view of the TOTO range of products. This will also strengthen our position among retail clients and reinforce Al-Futtaim Engineering's presence in the growing real estate sector in Abu Dhabi,' said Mr. Vishesh Bhatia, Group Director (Electronics, Engineering & Technologies), Al-Futtaim Group.
'The demand for such products is all set to receive a major boost, with more than US$ 100 billion worth of new real estate projects now under way in the capital. This also serves to highlight Al-Futtaims' commitment to the Abu Dhabi market,' he added.
Al-Futtaim Engineering's Building Products Division has among its many high profile clients in Abu Dhabi Zayed University, the Abu Dhabi Cricket Stadium, the 800-unit housing complex for General Industrial Corporation, refurbishment of the Department of Civil Aviation, Khalifa Park in Abu Dhabi among others.
Sanitary wares and fittings are also being supplied in Dubai to Dubai International Airport (Concourse 2 and Terminal 3), Emirates Towers (Office Building), Dubai Chamber of Commerce and Industry, Four Seasons Hotel in Doha and in the Bahrain Financial Harbour. Al-Futtaim Engineering is currently also supplying sanitary wares to the whole of Dubai Mall, the biggest mall in the world, Harbour Plaza, InterContinental Hotel and Crowne Plaza Hotel at Dubai Festival City among others.

With plans to open more TOTO showrooms in Abu Dhabi and the Northern Emirates, Al-Futtaim Engineering is poised to tap in to the fast-paced growth in the region's property sector. Al-Futtaim Engineering has increased its warehousing facilities to cater to the increased demand for sanitary wares and fittings.
