The region's first advanced and modern public facilities is now in operation in Abu Dhabi.

The Abu Dhabi Municipality, in cooperation with Viola Pro Media, a subsidiary of Al Qudra Holding, has announced the operation of the first advanced public toilets in Abu Dhabi. This follows an agreement signed between both parties in late 2006.

The agreement will implement one of the largest projects in the city of Abu Dhabi with Viola Pro Media supplying and installing 60 state of the art, advanced public toilet facilities in strategic locations throughout the city. The location of the public toilets will be decided by the Abu Dhabi Municipality and will focus on strategic areas with high footfall. The first two public toilers are located on Salam Street and on the Corniche.

The region's first advanced and modern public facilities is now in operation in Abu Dhabi.

His Excellency Engineer Salah Salem Bin Omeir Al-Shamsi, Al Qudra Holding Chairman, emphasized the importance of the agreement and stated: "This cooperation reflects the aspirations and expectations of the parties to provide integrated services to the benefit and interest of the Abu Dhabi Emirate, and the nation's economy in general."

HE Abdullah Nasser Al Gounaiby, General Services Sector Manager Abu Dhabi Municipality commented on the cooperation with Viola Pro Media by saying: "This cooperation comes within the framework of the efforts being made by the Abu Dhabi Municipality for the development of the present and future of our city. We aim to strengthen the role and position of Abu Dhabi on the world map by providing essential modern facilities. A key objective of the Municipality is to provide modern, clean and attractive facilities to residents and visitors to Abu Dhabi. Abu Dhabi is the first city in the Middle East to provide this type of public service.

His Excellency Khalifa Khoury, Chairman Viola Pro Media, said that this agreement provides both sides with many benefits and advantages, where the benefits of having such facilities extend to the citizens, residents and visitors of the city. He added that
these facilities are top of the range, state of the art and are in line with the modern public toilets found in major cities and world capitals such as London and Paris.

This joint venture comes after major consultations and visits to the industrialized approved by the Abu Dhabi Municipality, which ensured that these facilities conform to the highest standards of hygiene and quality, and are self-cleaning and take into consideration the different needs of different users.
