JCB’s world-famous Dancing Diggers are set to wow the crowds as they take their first ever bow in Dubai at the Big 5 PMV.

The mechanical dancing troupe has been described as a down to earth version of the Red Arrows; they have curtsied for the Queen of England; pirouetted for TV and thrilled thousands all over the world.

The JCB Dancing Diggers will make several appearances per day at the Big 5 PMV, taking place at the Dubai International Convention and Exhibition Centre from 23-26 November, working through an intricate routine set to music. Due to the scale of the show, each performance will take centre stage at The Plaza, a state-of-the-art area at the immediate entrance to the new exhibition halls.

JCB, the world’s number one manufacturer of backhoe loaders, has been demonstrating the dexterity and power of its backhoes through JCB Dancing Digger shows for more than 40 years.

Nick Webb, Director of Streamline Marketing Group, organisers of the Big 5 PMV said: “The JCB Dancing Diggers will perform in Dubai for the first time at the Big 5 PMV. JCB’s participation highlights the importance of the event, and the ongoing interest of major manufacturers in the region’s construction industry.”

JCB’s strength in tracked and wheeled excavators will also be highlighted at the show with machines from its 25-strong range, the JS220 and JS330, on display. Joining the line-up will be products from JCB’s wheeled loading shovel, Loadall telescopic handler, Vibromax compaction equipment and power generation equipment ranges.

Leading manufacturers and suppliers of plant, machinery, equipment and construction vehicles will present their latest technology at the Big 5 PMV. Triaso S.A de C.V., a Mexican manufacturer of portable hot mix asphalt plants and portable rock crushers will be exhibiting for the first time to showcase their impressive portable asphalt drum mixer, weighing 30 tonnes.

With a client base in North America, Central America, South America and North Africa, Triaso is hoping to break into the Middle East market. Antonio G. Álvarez, Head of International Sales said: “We feel that our participation in the Big 5 PMV will allow us to become better known in the Middle Eastern countries. We know the economic importance of the area and the efforts being made to construct roads and properly maintain them.

“We want to help countries in this region to continue to develop their infrastructure by delivering top quality machinery at competitive prices. We are also prepared to share our expertise so that companies using our machinery can be more efficient and productive.”

The event has already attracted a wide range of international and local exhibitors, keen to increase their presence in the Middle East construction market. The confirmed exhibitors include Marini - Fayat Group from Italy, Oy Scaninter Nokia Ltd from Finland, UAE-based Al Laith Scaffolding and Liugong from China.

Highlighting the ongoing interest of international plant, machinery, equipment and vehicle manufacturers in the MENA region, several national pavilions have confirmed a place at this year’s show, including Italy, Korea and China.

The Big 5 PMV takes place alongside the Big 5, the region’s most influential construction and contracting event, organised by DMG World Media. This year’s show will be staged in a new world-class venue, bringing the Big 5 PMV under the same roof as the Big 5.
