Tour & Andersson has recently upgraded its design software. TA-Select 4 is a significant improvement on TA-Select 3. It incorporates greater features and further design functionalities for HVAC consultants and specifiers. The new functions also allow for the simple synchronisation between the software and the recently launched TA-SCOPE balancing instrument.
From its initial design through to its long term control, the new TA-Select 4 software package makes it simple to ascertain the products and technology required to create a hydronically balanced and efficient system.
By simply inputting the system’s differential pressure, terminal unit design flow and pipe lengths, the TA-Select 4 software package will determine which pump head and control and balancing valves are required, whilst providing an uploading package with which updates can be directly transferred to the TA-SCOPE measuring device.
Communicating directly with the hand held TA-SCOPE device, the software can send system updates between the two mechanisms, helping to speed up the balancing process and enable the installer to check that commissioning is in line with that of the original design.
By balancing the system using the TA-SCOPE, information relating to the differential pressure, flow rates, temperature and power can be automatically verified and downloaded to the TA-Select 4 package directly.
