Emirates Glass partners launches self-cleaning glass projects in Turkey

Emirates Glass LLC (EGL), one of the region's leading processors of premium architectural flat glass products and a subsidiary of Glass LLC, wholly owned by Dubai Investments (DI), today announced the launch of its first self-cleaning glass projects in Turkey, in partnership with property investment and development company Feryapi.

Emirates Glass has received orders worth AED 20million for projects that require the installation of self-cleaning glass. These include HAMP, I-Tower, Gold Tower, Nida Tower, and Gursan. EGL is currently working with Feryapi on two projects, I-tower and East and West.

Ziad Yazbeck, Senior Vice-President, Sales and Marketing, Glass LLC, said: “The construction market in the Gulf is picking up pace once again. Leveraging the escalating demands for high quality glass in Turkey, the win of key purchase orders has helped us establish a strong foothold for Emirates Glass in Turkey.

“Turkey is one of our key markets. With the help of our partnership with Feryapi, we are well geared to successfully increase our presence in the country. We aim to complete the delivery of glass for these projects by the last quarter of this year. The endorsement from this market has taken us a step forward in our vision to grow as the largest glass manufacturer in the region.”

With several efficient and sophisticated production units, Emirates Glass can handle large orders within short deadlines. Earlier this year, Emirates Glass inaugurated a AED160-million state-of-the-art coating line to escalate production capacity to over 3.5m square metres.

Additionally in 2011, the company launched the advanced VitroGlaze, an eco-friendly glass with a chemically treated surface that keeps away dirt and grime. Such developments establish the firm as a pioneer in adopting technological innovations, making it a preferred option for most buyers.

Emirates Glass can manufacture, according to the strictest standards in the glass production and processing industry, a wide range of high-performance, energy-efficient glass types with high selectivity ratios.
