The event, at the Dubai International Convention and Exhibition Centre (DICEC) from 11-13 May, is the leading airport dedicated event in the Middle East, South Asia and North Africa.

It is an ideal platform for leading B2B specialists and decision makers from airport procurement, supplies, solutions and technology to meet and discuss the latest trends and news. This year’s exhibition promises to involve over 250 leading global companies, 7,000 attendees and 50 regional aviation authorities.

Flowcrete Middle East Takes Off at the Airport Show 2014

The GCC’s lucrative airport expansion and modernization programmes are currently valued at approximately USD100 billion and 2013’s Airport Show alone generated over USD20 billion worth of regional business opportunities, proving that this is an unmissible event for aviation professionals.

From the terminals, hangars and kitchens to the waiting rooms and baggage handling areas, an airport complex encompasses a variety of facilities which all have different demands and requirements.

Specifying the right floor is integral to optimising the working environment of all these spaces, as otherwise the airport risks floor failures that lead to unhygienic, unsightly and inefficient surfaces.

At Stand 8461 (Hall 8), visitors will be able to find out how Flowcrete Middle East’s innovative systems are the ideal accompaniment to any airport project, whether it requires strong screeds and hard wearing finishes to withstand large amounts of foot traffic, corrosive materials and heavy equipment, systems specially designed to create visually stunning surfaces, ultra hygienic floors – or a combination of them all.

Visitors to Flowcrete Middle East’s stand will be able to make the most of the resin flooring specialist’s expertise to talk over specific projects and flooring concerns. On Tuesday 13th May Vik Vithlani, the Flowcrete Middle East Sales Director, will also be presenting a talk entitled “Sustainable Floorzone Solutions” at the Innovation Podium between 11:30-12:00.

Flowcrete Middle East’s floors are designed to combine aesthetics and durability, both vital considerations for airports, as they need to retain an attractive appearance in the face of challenging operational demands. The Mondéco system has been formulated to impress visitors with art beneath their feet, as it allows clients to install durable, long-lasting floors with bespoke patterns and a glittering, luxurious sheen.

An airport’s kitchen and catering areas need to ensure a clean environment in the face of long operating hours and a busy work load. To help facilities maintain the highest levels of hygiene Flowcrete has created Flowfresh, which has the antibacterial agent Polygiene® incorporated within the floor’s resin matrix. Polygiene® works alongside the on-site cleaning regime to minimise the risk of dangerous contaminant build-up, as it actively inhibits the growth of up to 99.9% of bacteria on the floor’s surface.

The resin flooring specialists have a wealth of experience supplying floors to regional airport projects. Anyone parking at, working in or departing from the Dubai International Airport will have experienced its products, as multiple Flowcrete Middle East systems were installed throughout the site. This included Deckshield decking in the car parks, Isocrete K-Screed within the departures hall, Flowfresh in kitchen areas and the fast curing Flowfast Quartz MMA flooring system in cold storage areas.
