During the test held at Thomas Bell Wright Fire Testing facilities in Dubai, the fire-resistant door was subjected to and successfully withstood a temperature of over 900 degree Celsius for 90 minutes. In conducting the test, Gulfex complied with the international fire regulations and standards. This is in line with the company’s strong commitment to follow global standards in manufacturing its products as evident in its Fire-X87, the Middle East’s first locally manufactured top-of-the-line aluminium door and window system.

Ihab Mouallem, Commercial Director, Gulf Extrusions, said: “The integral element of Fire-X87 is its breakthrough design. We carefully studied the effect of fire and smoke on aluminium and glass to help us develop the right system that can withstand fire for 90 minutes, with an end goal of reducing risks and protecting people. The successful fire test demonstrated that our efforts have been paying off. Rest assured that we will continue with our commitment to provide top-notch products to the industry. Needless to say, we are proud to introduce our first fully tested fire rated aluminium door to the market, which is the first in the Middle East region and reflects true Emirati standard of excellence.”
