The RAPTOR is a test system designed by EuroSMC as the definitive solution for the main primary test applications required in the commissioning and maintenance of substations, especially in all the test that require high current injection, marking the difference with respect to any existing equipment currently in the Market. This new generation of Current Injection Test System makes primary testing easier, faster and far more efficient.
The system consists of a Master unit which can be upgraded with up to three Slave sets which add further power capacity to the system. The user is not limited to the power initially determined. In case of more power required, RAPTOR SL sets can be added, or what is even more important, be left behind when not needed for the day’s task.
In comparison with the big and heavy traditional variac-based equipment, the RAPTOR is designed incredibly smaller and lighter than its predecessors, combining a revolutionary high current generation technology, with an automatic smart control, in a really transportable test unit of only 35 Kg, which, by combining some RAPTOR units depending on the application, is able to inject up to an outstanding 15,000 A.
An additional advantage to the easy transport is that the units can be much closer to the devices tested, reducing the length of cables, and a significant decrease in power losses by eliminating intermediate connections, thanks to the Loop-Through concept.
The number of units forming the system does not increase the maximum current limit, being the compliance voltage and power available what changes according to a flexible configuration of the system, to obtain the desired current on the device under test.
The modern high-tech design of the RAPTOR system enables the highest level of injection capability in terms of power and duty cycle, with an ease of use so far never seen before in this type of equipment.
A small handheld control console allows the user to fully monitor and control all the test process, including the test results and test configuration tools for a quick and convenient testing.
The RAPTOR system provides automatic regulation of the magnitude to be injected, DSP controlled, being stable regardless of the possible load and/or mains supply voltage. Of course the overwhelming process of manual search for a desired current value using manual control is not needed anymore... just select your current value and it will be in your output within less than 0.2 % error!
The RAPTOR also includes a powerful measurement section, extending the number of testing applications, also for testing CT/VT/PT, switchgear panels, reclosers, sectionalizers, contact resistance, ground grid, breakers, etc.
RAPTOR system includes factory configured Test Templates, to easily perform the most common testing required by the Primary Equipment under test.
