Tremco illbruck was created from the merger of Tremco’s European Sealant and Weatherproofing Division with Illbruck Sealant Systems in September 2005. This powerful combination gives Tremco-illbruck a leadership position in the sealants, glazing, waterproofing, flooring and passive fire protection markets throughout Europe, the Middle East and Africa.Tremco-illbruck is also a centre for innovation. In particular, our centre of excellence for polyurethane foam products, based in Arkel, Netherlands, has introduced some truly unique and remarkable products in the past couple of years. In addition to traditional construction foams and fire rated foams we have recently introduced an elastic foam (FM637), for rapid sealing of movement joints and gaps, high strength foam construction adhesive (PU108) for immediate bonding of demanding construction substrates and PU700 masonry adhesive.
This latter product is perhaps the most remarkable. Designed to replace traditional sand/cement mortar it is quick, clean, light weight and incredibly strong. One single can of PU700 replaces 25kg of mortar. No mixing, no mess, no power, no waste, no water. And remarkably a bond within 10-15 minutes that is actually stronger than the cohesive strength of the blocks being bonded.
Suitable for virtually any substrate ; stone, brick, concrete block, slate, tiles, gypsum and timber, PU 700 can boost your production output by 100% plus drastically reduce site access problems, transportation costs and labour requirements. Particularly useful in high rise construction, fast track projects and prefabricated construction PU 700 is suitable for internal and external applications and provides long term resistance to water and dilute acid and alkaline solutions.
