Royal Brothers Show Support for World Future Energy Summit.

HRH The Prince of Wales and HRH The Duke of York to make opening addresses at World Future Energy Summit in Abu Dhabi. HRH The Prince of Wales will appear on stage at the World Future Energy Summit on January 21st in Abu Dhabi in a virtual form after recording his first ever hologram video message for the Conference.

The World Future Energy Summit 2008 will be held under the patronage of HH General Sheikh Mohammed Bin Zayed Al Nahyan, Crown Prince of Abu Dhabi and Deputy Supreme Commander of the UAE Armed Forces and will be hosted by Masdar, Abu Dhabi’s multi-billion dollar, multi-faceted response to the need for a global focus on alternative energy and sustainability.

Prince Charles will then hand over to his brother, His Royal Highness, The Duke of York, who will be speaking live at the summit and will take part in the day’s proceedings. As the UK’s Special Representative for International Trade and Investment, The Duke of York devotes his time to building business links with the UK around the World, and has close links with Abu Dhabi and the United Arab Emirates.

“The summit provides a fantastic opportunity for business and science to come together to provide long-lasting solutions to future energy challenges -- and I’m delighted to be involved in it” says HRH Prince Andrew. “I am clear that industry worldwide, and UK industry in particular, will play a vital part in meeting global goals to reduce emissions and achieve sustainability of energy in the long term.”

The UK government is heavily supporting this new summit with a dedicated UK pavilion within the large international exhibition. More than 5,000 visitors from across the globe are expected to visit the exhibition and more than 1,000 delegates are expected to attend the conference to discuss key issues surrounding sustainable and alternative energy solutions and technologies.

The World Future Energy Summit will hold its inaugural event on 21-23 January 2008 in Abu Dhabi under the patronage of H.H. General Sheikh Mohammad bin Zayed Al Nahyan, Crown Prince of Abu Dhabi and Deputy Supreme Commander of the UAE Armed Forces.

WFES is poised to become the world's largest conference and exhibition on renewable future energy solutions and policy with more than 80 speakers including world ministers, politicians, business leaders, and environmentalists as well as over 200 international exhibitors. This event will bring together world leaders and experts to discuss the need for a global focus on alternative energy and sustainability while showcasing the latest developments in the industry.

Hosted by Masdar, WFES 08 will be take place at the Abu Dhabi National Exhibition Centre with Credit Suisse as the Principal Sponsor. The Platinum Sponsors are BP, Shell, Standard Chartered and Merrill Lynch and the Gold Sponsors are International Power, Total, Dolphin Energy and Occidental.
