The company Buggenhout - Vanderstraeten was founded in 1974 as manufacturer of veneered boards. These boards are available in all shapes and sizes. In 1983 they started producing 'Wallplanks': wall and ceiling coverings consisting of a MDF- board with a top layer of veneer. The 'Wallplanks' are available in 10 different designs and different sizes. From 1988 Buggenhout--Vanderstraeten also produces standard size panels. These panels are available on chipboard, plywood, bloc board or MDF covered with a layer of veneer.
