DuPont™ Tedlar® films have been used as wallcovering for healthcare facilities for over 35 years. Since its installation in the early 1980s in the Omega Medical Center, the center has not experienced any stains, delamination, peeling or cracking. “The Tedlar™ wallcovering has more than paid for itself in the past 30 years,” said Siobhan Hawkins, Director of Operations at the Omega Medical Center. “We have been very happy with this product’s performance. For us, Tedlar® is the standard by which all other wallcoverings are compared.”

Now, there are more patterns and colors than ever before to give designers the freedom to create modern, patient-friendly spaces throughout medical facilities, waiting rooms, cafeterias and lobbies. DuPont™ Tedlar™ Wallcoverings are protected by a film that provides an impervious barrier against stains and is extremely durable. Iodine, Mercurochrome and Sharpie marker stains are no match for these wallcoverings. Our wallcoverings can stand up to industrial cleaning products, including bleach, without discoloration and they are unaffected by common acids.

“We chose to exhibit at HCD this year because we have had many healthcare designers and architects reaching out to us about our products. This show allows us to be in a location where the industry could actually see, feel and test our products firsthand,” said Fallyn Flaherty-Earp, Global Market Manager for Tedlar®. “Designers can stop by booth 2100 and test our wallcoverings for themselves and take samples back for current and future projects,” Flaherty-Earp added.

Not only do all the Tedlar™ Wallcoverings have GREENGUARD Gold Certification and GREENGUARD Mold and Mildew Verification but in June, Tedlar™ Wallcoverings received its first Health Product Declaration (HPD) approval from the HPD Collaborative. HPD is a set of precise regulations that report the contents and health effects of products. “Health Product Declarations allow for architects and designers to have full confidence in using our products in projects for Healthcare and many other segments,” noted Flaherty-Earp.
