Vertical was founded in 1977 by Primo Lovisetto, who has been active throughout his career in the research and development of manufacturing processes involving innovative stainless steel technology. Today, he is still President of the company.

The company name derives directly from the type of pumps produced at the beginning - multistage, vertical pumps - for well-established national firms.
