Electric Way Inaugurates Largest Regional Center for Cables and Power Solutions

Electric Way, the leading provider of power cables and construction wires, has inaugurated a new regional headquarters at National Industries Park, aiming at providing services and solutions for companies across the UAE and the GCC region.

The new premises extend over 100,000 square feet, and involves investments totaling AED 20 million. The warehouse will house over 7 thousand products, making it one of the largest warehouses and center for electrical equipment in the UAE.

The new premises were inaugurated in an official ceremony yesterday (Sunday), attended by Mohammed Al Muallem, CEO of Jebel Ali Free Zone “Jazfa” Senior Vice President and Managing Director of DP World UAE Region; and Mohamed Meeran, Chairman of Electric Way and Atheeqe Ansari, CEO of Electric Way, and Andrew Shaw, Managing Director of DUCAB.

Sultan Ahmed Bin Sulayem, Group Chairman and CEO of DP World and Chairman of Ports, Customs and Free Zone Corporation said that by joining the ranks of pioneering local and international companies at the National Industries Park, Electric Way adds value to the diversity of investment in it helping to meet the demands of the local market in the electrical material and solutions sector, especially power cables and construction wires.

He commended Electric Way for its choice of the National Industries Park for its new premises, highlighting the excellent reputation the company enjoys locally and regionally as the UAE prepares for Expo 2020. He also noted the first-class services they offer to other companies in the Park.

For his part, Atheeqe Ansari, CEO of Electric Way, said that the inauguration marks a new stage in the company’s pioneering position in this sector, allowing Electric Way to offer its services to a wider base of companies in the region, including high quality medium voltage cables, electrical accessories, power cables, construction material, lighting solutions, and more.

Ansari added that the company’s investment in the new premises comes in line with preparations to meet the increasing demand on over 7 thousand products the company sources, especially with the world-class events the region is preparing for mega events, such as Expo 2020 and FIFA World Cup 2022.

Ansari pointed out the importance of the location his company selected for the new headquarters, adjacent to Jebel Ali port and Al Maktoum International airport, as well as the Expo 2020 land. He noted that the new premise is the largest of its kind in the region, equipped with cutting edge technology in storage and transportation, in accordance with highest international HSE standards.

Following the inauguration of the new headquarters and the unveiling of the company's warehouses and facilities ceremony, Mohammed Al Muallem toured the new center, accompanied by Mr. Ansari who gave an extensive overview of the different parts and sections, as well as background information of the company and its future plans. and the services and products it provides to the industrial and commercial sectors in the country and the region.
