INDEX to Host Second 2018 Show in September Following Hugely Inspiring March Outing

The dust has settled on what was an inspired 28th INDEX in March - but that doesn't mean we're done for the year.

In fact, we're only halfway there!

September will see INDEX return for a second show of 2018, where the central focus will be on a cross-continental marriage between sourcing value driven product and premium brands.

The show - taking place September 16th-18th - will welcome more than 400 exhibitors from across Asia to Europe.

Samantha Kane-Macdonald, INDEX event director, said: "September's INDEX is where European design will mix and blend with a Middle-Eastern and Asian aesthetic to create our own 'Silk Road' of interiors.

"Whether you are sourcing premium brands from Europe or value driven product from Asia, the exhibition will have elements of each to suit your taste and budget."

The late-2018 show will follow last month's flagship INDEX, which - in tandem with WORKSPACE and SURFACE Design Middle East - attracted more than 25,000 people to nearly 1,000 exhibitor stands across four days.

Samantha added: "March's show was a perfect balance of sourcing and networking opportunities, and design-led inspiration.

"We hosted hundreds of truly unique and brilliant designers and products, brought to INDEX from more than 40 countries, with our best range of live features and installations ever, led by the incredible Ventura Dubai. It was an event we're all greatly proud of."

INDEX, which took place March 26th-29th, was officially opened by His Highness Sheikh Ahmed bin Saeed Al Maktoum, President of Dubai Civil Aviation Authority, Chairman of Dubai Airports, Chairman and Chief Executive of Emirates Airline and Group.

Spread over 40,000 square feet, it catered to every element of interiors across residential, retail, hospitality and commercial markets.

Daniel Leese is Senior Manager- Business Development at Sobha Interiors LLC, who exhibited at the show.

He said: “INDEX for me was an enormous success. I met with some new and familiar faces with new projects in the pipeline, and am already looking forward to the next show.”

Visitor Alison Grace-Gahan, Senior Tutor, National Design Academy UAE, said: ''It was great to see the next up and coming designers seeking information from suppliers and being inspired and influenced by what INDEX 2018 had to offer.

"The Design talks were very beneficial and gave a great insight into the industry. It is great to see so many people come to together with a common interest and the desire to make the world a more beautiful place through design.''
