Did you know that concrete is the most used material in the world in terms of volume, where about 6 billion cubic meters of concrete is made each year, which equals one cubic meter for every person on Earth? Having said that, it is noticeable that concrete is exclusive among the major construction materials as it is flexible, durable and economical.

Implementing latest technologies and practices in the concrete industry became surely a must as several Mega Construction Projects are taking place in the GCC region with strict specifications and challenging requirements.

International Concrete Technology Forum 2018 – Dubai

National Ready Mixed Concrete Association (NRMCA), a U.S. based organization, Grey Matters, an innovative professional entity based in UAE, and Dubai Municipality are organizing the 10th International Concrete Technology Forum (ICTF) which will feature the latest advances, technical knowledge, regulations and future trends in concrete technology. The conference will take place in Dubai on the 21st and 22nd of November in Roda Al Bustan Hotel.

After two years of being the strategic Partner of the conference, Dubai Municipality is an organizer this year along with NRMCA and Grey Matters. Moreover, the “Concrete Sustainability Council” is endorsing the conference.

Local, regional and international speakers will share topics like 3d Concrete Printing, Dubai Municipality Concrete Calculator, Environmental Product Declarations, Concrete Standards and more. The 2018 ICTF Dubai will feature a panel discussion entitled “Time to Smartly Reuse Concrete” where some concerns and challenges faced by the ready mixed concrete suppliers will be shared and discussed.

Dubai Municipality, NRMCA and Grey Matters, will delightedly carry on for the third year with the “Dubai Municipality Awards” for the Ready Mix Concrete and Precast companies in Dubai that was introduced for the first time during the 2016 ICTF. Companies will be rewarded for several achievements including the performance in achieving the Dubai Central Laboratory certification under Dubai Municipality Standard Specification, DMS 026.

The 10th International Concrete Technology Forum delivers learning and networking opportunities on the latest advances, technical knowledge, research, tools and solutions for sustainable concrete manufacturing, design, and construction. Attendees will receive up to 10 professional development hours (PDH’s). Researchers, authorities, academics, students, engineers, architects, contractors, concrete producers, public works officials, material suppliers and concrete industry professionals are invited to join the ICTF and be part of this networking platform. Moreover, the fourth batch of the NRMCA Certified Concrete Professionals Middle East (CCPME) will graduate.
