Klausner group was founded in 1991 by the Austrian Fritz Klausner, who set up his first sawmill in a small town in former East Germany. Today, Klausner is one of the leading lumber companies worldwide and the second-largest producer of softwoods in Europe. Our annual production output totals more than 4 million cbm of sawn softwood lumber, of which more than 3.8 million cbm are surfaced products.

Klausner operates five mills throughout Germany. The main criteria for the selection of all production sites are availability and quality of logs, as well as transport connections. Our products are well-known for their high and consistent quality, we meet the strictest technical standards and our marketing and customer service is first rate. More than 80 % of our goods are exported, increasingly to the Middle East region.

All sales activities are carried out at Klausner Trading International, our head office in St. Johann/Tirol, Austria, where the Klausner sawmill business was originally established in 1918.
