Bekaert is a leader worldwide in manufacturing all kinds of wire and wire products. Founded in Belgium in 1880, today Bekaert is active in many countries worldwide. One of the important group of products is the wire products used in building and construction.

We have for instance our Dramix steel wire fibres, made out of bright low carbon/galvanized, high carbon or stainless wire and used for various kinds of concrete reinforcement. Bekaert has with its Dramix steel wire fibres successes worldwide in tunnel construction (shocrete and segmental lining), industrial flooring purposes, airport pavements, port pavements, vault and safe structures, heavy duty pavements (both inside and outside), different kinds of precasted concrete structures etc.

Apart from the Dramix we can refer to Murfor for masonry reinforcement purposes. Also here with have different types (round and flat) as well as galvanized, epoxy coated or stainless types of Murfor. Stucanet, Widra and Poutrafil are products used for plastering purposes. Mesh track/Bitufor is the Bekaert product used for asphalt road reinforcement purposes. In the Middle East, as of today our main products sold and applied are Dramix steel wire fibres for tunnelling and flooring purposes.
