Oman Cement Company (SAOG) was formed in 1978. Rusayl Cement plant was completed in 1983 with an annual integrated cement production capacity of 624,000 tons, of Ordinary Portland Cement and Sulphate Resistent Cement. In 1999 clinkering capacity expanded to a total of 1.2 million MTs per annum. The second production line came on stream in mid 1998.
