Optimus is a product developed jointly between Orientals and Bocker to serve niche market segment of roof rail cranes where weight is a prime factor while long height and out-reach are required.
Installed for the first time in the world in the 7 stars hospital in Qatar – SIDRA as part of the total access solution of the building.
Optimus is an aluminium built crane installed on double track rail. It is designed to work on roof tops for permanent access and lifting requirements in buildings.
The design is based on the technology of the German Aluminium cranes from Bocker and developed jointly between Orientals and Bocker to work with traversed chassis on dual rails.
The main advantage of the design is that it provides up to 35m height and outreach with minimum weight on the roof. So it is ideal for height parapets, skylights and domes.
The two models of Optimus were installed on the SIDRA Hospital project are Optimus 25, has a height and outreach of 25m from rail centre and Optimus 35, has a height and outreach of 25m from rail centre.
