Ortech Industries is currently exporting over 60,000m² of Durra Panel Trafficable Ceiling Systems from its Bendigo manufacturing plant in Victoria to China, Indonesia and Greece. Durra Panel has become the innovative eco friendly product of choice, indeed the Natural Alternative to foam core sandwich panels for use in these large scale mega projects.

What we do is unique: Wheat and rice straw is usually burned after harvest, which releases carbon dioxide into the atmosphere; an environmental hazard. Ortech Industries purchases this straw and converts it into construction boards- Durra Panel. Ortech's unique dry extrusion process locks this carbon away in the form of an exceptionally low embodied energy, highly fire resistant building material. No chemical binders are used and hence zero toxic waste is produced.
