PLEKTAM S.A. was founded in 1966 in Heraklion - Crete, Greece by five notable businessmen. Plektam firstly manufactured and sold hexagonal wire nettings, chain link fences and poles made of steel.

In 1977 two of the first shareholders bought out the company and the second generation undertook the business management. The fact remains until today. In a five-year period,1999-2004, the company installed in new modern premises, increased its productivity with new products, WELDED WIRE MESH and PVC COATED CHAIN LINK FENCES and was certified by ISO 9001:2000. This year investments are accomplished that aim to the extension of building promises and the supply of mechanical equipment of high technology to produce WELDED WIRE PANELS.
