William Morris: A Blinds 2go Collaboration with the V&A

William Morris is one of Britain’s most famous and prolific designers; renowned for acclaimed patterns such as `Strawberry Thief’ and `Willow Bough’. Inspired by the most comprehensive collection of Morris’s works in virtually every medium held at the V&A, Blinds 2go have created a beautiful new collection of made to measure blinds and curtains.

This collaboration is a wonderfully contemporary take on the designer’s much-loved work. As the UK’s largest online blinds and curtains retailer, Blinds 2go has years of expertise in creating luxurious and affordable window dressings, enabling them
to expertly showcase the incredible array of designs cared for by the V&A, the world’s leading museum of art, design and performance.

Speaking about the collaboration, Blinds 2go’s Marketing Director Alison Gore said, “William Morris’ belief in equality of access to the arts was what made him such a great friend to the V&A. With this collaboration, we have highlighted some of Morris’s best work by developing a collection of designs that are beautiful, useable and accessible to all.

The design team at Blinds 2go has taken 8 of Morris’ most recognisable patterns and created a unique offering of Roman blinds, roller blinds and curtains in over 40 exclusive new colourways.

“This collection aims to maintain the essence and beauty of those original patterns, combining them with modern palettes that make them easier to use in a contemporary setting.” Leah Brandwood, Head of Design at Blinds 2go.

Amelia Calver, the V&A’s Research and development Manager observes: “This collection gives the V&A a unique opportunity to highlight its most loved designs to a new audience, as well as those who are familiar with the patterns, and see them continuing their journey into homes and interiors.”
