WT Burden Ltd has sold 22 of its branches to Wolseley UK for £30m, involving 600 employees. The 22 branches will be run as a wholly owned subsidiary of Wolseley UK, while retaining the Burdens brand name, will benefit from being part of a much bigger organisation, with the added financial strength of the new owners. Legal ownership and operational responsibility for the Burdens branches transfers to Wolseley UK from the 2nd of November 2012. Transitional Service Agreements will be put in place between the two companies to ensure continuity of support service.
