The history of Cavatorta Group began in 1961 when the first factory was built in Calestano (Parma).

The business focused on the production of mesh for fencing and hexagonal netting. It later added wire drawing and galvanisation lines. The range continued to expand with the production of electro-welded, galvanized and plastic-coated mesh, as well as nails. These are still leading item in Cavatorta's range and are made using the latest, fully-automated machinery.

The group embarked upon an expansion programme in the 70's to boost it manufacturing capacity, initially with a new production site near Teramo followed by several new sites throughout Italy.

The 80's marked the ultimate endorsement of cavatorta as the leading brand on domestic and international markets of mesh for fencing.
