Since 1968, one finds the name Maccabeo in the Hot Dip Galvanizing sector. Thanks to their special attention to development, it has always been linked to the most important changes: e.g. for the first time in the world, a new material named polypropylene was tested and used in the building of pretreatment tanks, for lining retention pits. Nowadays its use is normal practice.

The presence of MACCABEO in the largest Italian galvanizing companies has slowly led to new experiences with encouraging results. The waste treatment has been studied since then despite only few cared about the problem and many of the current solutions are just a result of that effort.
