Made to Measure: Customized Products for Exquisite Hospitality
A luxury hotel and a leading restaurant augment their high-caliber fittings with custom-made taps from the Axor Manufaktur
True luxury is distinct: ease of use based entirely on personal preferences, materials featuring desired textures, fabrics in exceptional colors, or individualized shapes. Therein top design and functionality materialize: from a tailor-made suit to real-estate. It is therefore only logical that luxury hotels and leading gastronomical establishments rely on customized solutions. This also holds true for exclusive taps that match the original ideas of the interior designers. The contemporary Black Chrome special finish from the Axor Manufaktur most recently won over the designers of the gourmet temple The Jane in Antwerp, Belgium. The individually adapted kitchen mixers are a perfect match for the restaurant’s design concept. Inside the new luxury spa at the 5-star Four Seasons Hotel in Milan, Axor bathroom taps sporting a Gold Optic special finish complete the exclusive ambience.
Discreet Charm with a Golden Glow
The creative mind behind the re-designed spa at the Four Seasons Hotel in Milan is the famous Spanish architect and designer Patricia Urquiola. She converted the historic wine cellar and its ancillary areas into an atmospheric wellness oasis in a spacious setting covering 800 square meters: under a tiled vaulted ceiling is a luxurious pool, surrounded by relaxation, exercise and beauty treatment areas. A special charm is exuded by the natural stone, the premium wooden surfaces, and the relief floor tiles with their fascinating feel. Bathroom taps in the Gold Optic finish from the Axor Manufaktur complete the warm ambience. In line with the designer’s concept, Hansgrohe’s prestigious manufactory produced individualized taps in polished and brushed finishes. The products used come from the Axor Urquiola collection designed by Patricia Urquiola, and they are complemented by elements from the Axor ShowerCollection by Philippe Starck and the Axor Starck ShowerHeaven, also in the Gold Optic finish.
Unique Cuisine and Selected Taps
The highly individual ambience created by its historical architecture is a strong feature of the trendy gourmet restaurant The Jane in Antwerp. The chapel of the former army hospice lends the kitchen of Michelin-starred chef Sergio Herman and Chef de Cuisine Nick Bril an almost sacred aura: encased by a glass cube, the kitchen sits in the chapel’s former altar space. In the almost monochrome setting, modern black and white elements blend smoothly with the original surfaces and the patina of the past. Responsible for the concept is the well-known, Dutch interior designer Piet Boon. Set between the high church windows, under the barrel ceiling and an opulent designer chandelier, he created a complete work of art. Matching his design concept are taps from the Axor Manufaktur.
In the open kitchen and in the wash rooms, Axor mixers featuring the brushed Black Chrome surface complete the designer’s vision: with their elegant finish and purist shapes the Axor Uno2 electronic wall-mounted taps resonate with the dark design accents and offer an exquisite contrast to the authentically rustic surroundings. The kitchen sinks combine the Axor Citterio SemiPro kitchen mixer, whose ergonomic levers are particularly easy to operate, and the Hansgrohe Talis kitchen mixer.
The Axor Manufaktur caters to the increasingly individualistic customer needs around the globe: the exclusive services provided by the prestigious manufactory can be applied to products from the extensive and diverse portfolio of Hansgrohe SE. Meticulously handcrafted, they can be adapted to meet individual conditions: refined through the application of special finishes, shortened or extended, and adorned with initials, a coat-of-arms or a logo.
