Saint-Gobain Glass launches its first range of digital products for BIM

Saint-Gobain Glass, the leading manufacturer of specialised glass in Europe, supports architects and planners worldwide, from design to realisation of their projects, with intelligent, parametric BIM objects from BIMobject®. These new and exciting BIM solutions can be seen live at the international trade faire - glasstec - in Düsseldorf, from 21st to 24th October.
Whether it is energy efficiency, acoustics, self-cleaning or solar control, the extensive range of high-performance glazing offers complete freedom of design and has been developed specifically to respond to the ever-changing needs of the different markets. Local requirements for security and safety are also incorporated into the glazing products from Saint-Gobain.
By providing BIM objects on the BIMobject Portal, Saint Gobain Glass is providing a new level of support to architects by enabling them, in their BIM models, to choose the right glass for their specific projects. The digital representations contain all the important information, including spectrophotometric characteristics as well as maximum and minimum length measurements. In this first release, Saint-Gobain Glass has provided BIM objects for different window and façade products.
